Oregano oil is what I reach for when something viral is coming on and I want to throw the kitchen sink at it. It's a strong antimicrobial — too strong for daily use.
Use it for short courses. Then stop. The plant compounds that make it useful for fighting infection will also disturb your gut flora if you take it for weeks on end.
